Sausage-Sweet Potato Bake

Ingredients

  • 1lb bulk sausage
  • 2 medium raw sweet potatoes
  • 3 medium apples

Sauce

  • 2T sugar
  • 1T flour
  • 1/4t ground cinnamon
  • 1/4t salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

Brown sausage, breaking up chunks. Drain off fat.

Peel and slice the potatoes and apples. In a 2qt casserole dish, arrange the potatoes on the bottom, layer on apples with sausage on top.

Combine sauce ingredients and pour on top in the dish.

Cover and bake in preheated oven at 375deg for 50-60minutes, or until potatoes and apples are tender.

Optional

Use cooked or canned sweet potatoes.
